Happy Easter!
We had a great Easter weekend! As I reflex on all of God's great gifts to us we are very blessed. One of the verses that I have read this weekend that really hit me was Romans 6:23 "The FREE gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord." That is the best gift ever!! Hope you all had a wonderful Easter and I pray that you will also receive this gift from God.

Sharing Mommy & Daddy
For the past two weeks Bo has had to share time with Mommy and Daddy. We have been watching Kennedy and Reece while their Mommy and Daddy have been basting in the warm sun! Last week we kept Kennedy from Tues-Friday and this week we have Reece from Tues-Friday. We have had a lot of fun with the girls. They each have their own little personalities that you really get to know over a few days. Bo just watches so intently as they get around. I am thinking it won't be to long before he really tries to take off and crawl or get around. Here are a few pics from the last couple days

Fun times

He is already mastering "corn on the cob!" Hope he enjoys the real stuff as much as we do.

I put the glasses on him the other morning and he actually left them on. I took him out to eat his cereal and I think he would have left them on while he ate too! To cute!

He loves his bath and his hippo towel!
I feel so blessed to have a happy healthy little guy. This week was the first time that he has been under the weather. For the last couple days he has been running a temp and not sleeping well. Sometimes it seems so hard to see him not feeling good and us feeling like we can't figure out how to make him feel better, but then I think about how much worse it could be. God has truely been good to us. Hopefully we will all be up to par soon!

Playmates
For the past three days Bo has had a special playmate to play with. He really enjoys when he can see his cousins. I have been watching Kennedy this week, we have had a good time and been very busy keeping up with these two. I have been trying very hard to get them down for naps around the same time. Today was the best. They both took good morning naps and are currently taking their afternoon naps. Bo is looking forward to Kenndey staying for a few nights in a couple weeks, as well as when Reece will stay for a few nights the next week.
Kenndey is already learning to play with tractors!

Bo's 6 month Update
Our little guy is growing so fast! It is amazing how much things can change for these little one's in such a short period of time. Bo has been such a wonderful little baby and so fun to have. God has truly blessed us. Growth Charts:
Bo is weighing in at 17 lbs 11 oz. (50% percentile)
He stands (or sits) at 26 inches (30%)
New things for Bo:
-For the past couple days he has been trying to sit with out support, this often lasts about 20 sec. He does really good trying to balance himself during this time.
- Working on getting rid of the swaddle blanket to sleep. I think he is ready for it to be done. But he is having a hard time controlling his arms, they seem to move about and wake him up. Hopefully we will only have one more long night of this???? (fingers crossed)
- The first tooth may be on its way out. He has a clear runny nose lately, as well as gallons of drool.
- His vocabulary of cooing, screeching and random noises are increasing! It sure is fun to hear his new noises along with him own reaction to them.
- Still is not so sure about the veggies, it is hard for him to get down 1/2 a jar of anything but sweet potatoes. We have just started fruits, applesauce was the first and boy did he make some funny faces!! :)

Wanna Be Beach Bums!

Here is a few pics from our vacation. We had a great relaxing time even if the weather wasn't perfect. We spent 4 days in Destin, FL. While in Destin we slept, shopped and tried the beach! As you can tell we weren't in our suits! It rained one of the days so we didn't get to the Zoo like we had planned, we shopped instead :). We ate out at some wonderful sea food restaurants and steakhouses. Bo did AWESOME, for the 14 hour car ride. After we were in Destin for 4 days we headed to Blountstown, FL to visit family. We had a great time catching up and seeing all of our new little cousins. Thank you to all the families who had us over for super. The meals are always a highlight with the Yoder family. We also experienced our first "Southern Boil" Yum! Yum! Thanks to the Wesselhoefts.
It is good to be home and we are trying to get back into the routine, if there is one any more. Dave got a fever when we returned and Bo had a slight temp on Saturday and Sunday evening. They are both feeling good now!
We finished the weekend off with the extended Bauer Christmas, It was good to get together even though not everyone was there. We missed you Aunt Tootie and Dave and the Steiner boys!

We need a Vacation!!

We are getting ready today to go on our 1st family vacation with Bo! We leave tomorrow night to drive 15 hours to Destin, Fl. We are going to leave when we put Bo down for bed, we are praying that he sleeps for 12 of the 15 hours. He usually sleeps pretty good in the car so we are putting him to the true test! We will be in FL for 8 days. We are also going to head to Blountstown, FL we have lots of relatives that live here, they haven't seen Bo and Bo has two other new 2nd cousins that we will be seeing for the first time.
Some other new things Bo is doing:
Rolling over from front to back more often (he started in Dec, but that only lasted 2 days). He is also eating veggies now.
When we return from FL Bo will have his 6 month check-up! I can't wait to see where he is on the charts!
