Blake turns 6 months..

Blake turned 6 months on the 13th. He is doing great and checked out a happy, healthy and

heafty baby!! He weighed in at 18lbs 8 oz (70%), he is 28 inches (99%) and head was in the 50% for his age. He is growing SOOO fast! I can't keep up with his sizes and sleepers are the worst! He is out of them in NO time flat.

Some milestones for Blake over the past few weeks is he is eating rice and oatmeal cereal, orange veggies and mum mums! He seems to enjoy the oatmeal the best, not so sure on the veggies, he gets this cute little pucker face then smiles! It's so sweet! Blake is also sitting up on his own or until he gets a little tippy then rolls onto his side and rolls to where he wants to go. This is such a fun stage to watch as he learns to explore his way around. He loves laying on his back and reaching for his toes to try and chew on them. No teeth yet but drools like crazy!

Bo turns 4!!

Once again I am behind! This year for Bo's birthday we were going to be on vacation so I decided not to do a "birthday party" we were just going to make it a fun day for him in Branson. Mimi was with us so she helped us celebrate too. We had a great day celebrating his birthday. We went to a rec center that had a nice pool for toddlers and toddler time, no one over 5 could come (except parents)! We spent the morning there, then he pick where we ate lunch, of course it had to be hamburgers and fries(we talked him out to McD's, and went to Freddie's)!! Then went back to the condo, took naps got back up to swim, that evening we grilled out and had his cake that he picked out! It was a great day and a fun one at that.

Then the weekend we got back G&G Stutzman wanted to celebrate his birthday so we went down to Arthur for the night. Grandma had a scavenger hunt for Bo to go on in order to find his present, he really enjoyed that. Was a nice and relaxing evening.

Not sure if it would have just been easier to have celebrated with one big party! Oh well we had fun and we celebrated our little man!!

Gracie's 1st Haircut!!

Didn't know when this day would come, but I just can't take the unevenness of her whisp/thin hair and so today we took the plunge into her first haircut. She did awesome, just sat there and let the lady trim away!! She is so proud of her new do!! I just love it!

Blake's 4 month check-up

Today Blake had his 4 month check up. He has always been and more than likely always will be our BIG boy!! His stats:
Weight: 16 lbs 6 oz ( 75%)
Height: 26 in (85%) hoping for a 6 footer!!
Head: (60%)

Dr. B said Blake is one strong little man, when he went to try to pull him up to check his neck strength, Blake put his feet down and stood right up and caught the dr off guard! It was so cute to see his big smile when he did that :)! He is growing so fast, and we can start cereal's anytime from now to 6 months. I am planning on waiting a little while yet, he is content with his formula and already sleeps so well, doesn't seem to be needing anything new now! And that is one phase I really don't care for, introducing foods. So will phase into that later. So happy and am so grateful for a healthly little boy, I know there are many other families out there who aren't so lucky and are dealing with so many big and little health issues. Makes me feel very blessed and thankful!

4 months and GROWING...

Blake is 4 months old today! He is a little sweetie. I am so spoiled with babies, they have all been very easy going babies (all 3 of mine) and pretty good sleepers for the most part. Blake is so strong on his legs, he loves to stand when you hold him. He has been playing in the hop n pop this month and enjoys it, usually for a good 1/2 hour or so, specially if big brother plays and talks with him!! I just love to see B and G talk and "play" with Blake it's so sweet! Next week we head to see the Doc. I can't wait to see how much he weighs and how tall he is. This past week or so he REALLY filled out EVERYWHERE!!

4th of July Fun..

This year was the first year we went to the Towanda parade, and what a nice parade it was. Sadly it was the first parade for the kiddos as well can't believe it took me 4 years to get Bo to one:). Bo loved seeing all of it and the candy was nice too! Gracie only was interested for the first half then she wanted to go sit in the shade with Mimi. We spent the rest of the day finishing up the new swing set for the kiddos and then got together with some good friends for a cookout and fireworks!

This seems to be the trend lately around here, I am overdue again on getting this up at the right time. Blake turned three months in June. He is getting so big and as we watch these stages fade away it is a little sad to know we won't see them again. I just LOVE this stage right now, he all smiles and jabbering back at us. Bo and Gracie love to get reactions out of him. He is a good sleeper and is very happy for the most part when he is wake.

Today Blake turns 2 months old, time is flying by and he is changing so much. He is starting to smile and coo back at you when you talk to him. He is also enjoying his little "gym" set by batting at the toys with his hands. I still think he looks so much like the other two may just not quit as round faced as the others but so many similar traits. Next week we go for his 2 month check up so I will put up his stats next week. I can't wait to see home much he has grown and weighes!!

This was Bo's first year in AWANA's. He just finished Cubbies, It took him a while to warm up to it but he finally did and really enjoyed it. Some of his favorites were learning his verses, game time and story time. It was so fun to hear him retell the stories to us! There were a few things he never seemed to take in and those were song time (said it was to loud, he would hold his hands over his ears, although he sings the songs at home) :)! and big Cubbie Bear. Hopefully next year he will enjoy it all. Until September...

My Sweet little girl is turning 2 and so is her Attitude! She is diffently starting the 2 stages mainly at home (thank goodness) she is still pretty sweet and loving out and about!! Gracie has grown up so much in the last two months her vocabulary is getting bigger and she wants to do EVERYTHING Bo does. Some of her favorites right now are coloring, being outside, the sandbox, she rain boots, shoes, fruit, Mimi and Grandma, Being w/ Bo and Blake, cleaning!!!

One Month...

Today Blake turns one month old. We are enjoying this baby stage so much as we are pretty sure(99%), other 1% would be God's doing!!) that he is the last! He has been a good baby so far and we are already only up once at night!!! Blake is eating every 4 hours or so and taking 4 oz of formula. We have already had an ambulance ride (at 8 days old) with him, now looking back this might mean he will be our adventureous one??? We thank God for watching over him that night!! Otherwise he is a healthy and growing little guy!

Okay so I am a little behind but for good reason!!

Blake Arin arrived March 13, 2011 @ 11:39am and was a BIG boy at 8 lbs 9 oz. 19inches long. He is doing great and is such a sweet little guy! We are ALL enjoying him. Bo and Gracie just can't get enough of their little brother. Transitioning into a family of 5 hasn't been as bad as I thought it would be, but we are still only 3 weeks in and I have only ventured out with all three one time to Target and they all did GREAT, not sure I want to do the grocery shopping with all 3 anytime soon though :)!

This morning Bo and I finished up with one last Christmas decoration for the house. This is the first time we have done a "Gingerbread". This one I found last year at the end of the season, it was so fun and Bo liked putting all the "ornaments" on the tree. Now to only have it survive for a little over one week left, Gracie likes to climb on the table and poke at it. Defiantly something we will do more of in the future!

We enjoyed the first snow of the season last weekend. This was Gracie's first time to really experience the snow and play in it. She loved it and threw a fit when she had to come inside. Bo really enjoyed it as well, he loves helping Daddy anyway that he can and so he trudged through the deep snow (about 7 inches) helping Dave shovel/blow it off the drive.

So this post is a little late... But we had a fun Halloween this year! As you can see we did the Toy Story theme this year, it was so fun to see them dressed up! We started the evening going to see Great Grandpa and Grandma Bauer. It's so nice that they are in town (blm/normal) now we get to see a lot more of them. They have the perfect spot for the kids to run and play together right outside there apt! Then we headed over to Papaw and Mimi's house for pizza and trick or treating! We love to go out to the Rader Pumpkin Farm. This year they have added so much and both Bo and Gracie are able to enjoy it! Bo's favorite thing this year is to just run out of the calf shoot. We hope to get out there many more times before they close at the end of the month.

St. Louis Trip w/ Stutzman Family

Right after Bo's birthday party we got ready to head to St. Louis for the weekend with all of the Stutzman family. We had a great time in St. Louis. On the first night we headed to Union Station for a bite to eat and then found a little pond to feed the fish, Bo loved this. Then on Monday morning we headed to the Zoo, I had never been to this zoo and we all loved it! Highly recommend the St. Louis Zoo! That night we headed down to the Arch, for a nice evening along the water. We had a great trip with all of our family and so glad that we had this time together.

Bo's favorite animals were the Zebra'a and Giraffe's! He also enjoyed lots of shoulder rides from his uncles!

Can't believe he is turning 3 today! What a joy he is in our lives, I just love how sweet and kind he is. Although we do have tough times every now and then we love every minute with him. Some of Bo's favorite are John Deere tractors, riding any kinds of machinery, being outside, helping Mommy/ Daddy work on something,reading books, singing, Word World, corn on the cob, animals, his grandma, mimi and papa's. He is such good big brother to Gracie I love to hear them laugh and play together.

Bo is weighing in at 37 in (50%) and 34.3 solids lbs (75%).

Last weekend my Dad came out to work on his pop-pop tractors, Bo couldn't wait to get outside with him. He helped Pawpaw change the oil, then they got to go on a long tractor ride! Bo loves to ride on any kind of tractor or mower.

I think Pawpaw was giving Bo a lesson on driving!

Springtime Fun!

We have been enjoying this warm spring that we have had so far this year! Such a wonderful change from the past two springs. This year we decided to build Bo a sandbox and fix up the little play house in the backyard. I am so glad we did the sandbox, I can already tell that Bo is going to spend many, many hours out there playing in it! Bo is quit the little helper when we are doing any projects, he askes what he can do, gets his shovel, hoe, dump truck or wheel barrow and gets to work! He so enjoys doing whatever Dave/I do. Hope this is a good sign of a hard little worker!

Today is Gracie's 1st Birthday! Can not believe she is one, where oh, where does time go! She is sweet, and happy little girl. Learning to stand up and hold on, won't be long and she will be walking. She is saying a few things, mama, dada, baba (bottle) and b for Bo. She is still content and easy going, loves to wrestle with Bo and loves to belly laugh. She is now drinking whole milk and eating all table food. Gracie has 4 teeth (2 on top, 2 on bottom). We will celebrate her birthday on Sunday with family!

Guatemala Update...

A little update on our journey with Guatemala. Today I got two EXCITING/ PRAISE emails, first one came from Debbie A who is the missionary in Guatemala, last night they got to share with the couple who they feel are the ones who may adopt the baby. The couple is so excited but also a little hesitant in some sense. Six years ago this couple was to adopt a little baby from a young mother and at the last minute the mother decided to keep the child, they were heart broken and don’t want to be put in that situation again. We know that God has a plan and we sure are praying that this couple will get to take this little girl as their own! What a praise it will be for all involved if this couple gets to start a family with children in just 4 short weeks!
My second email today came from Mirna (pastors wife), I had emailed her at the beginning of the day to just make sure to let her know that we are still planning on paying for the delivery if the need is/was still needed. Norma (mother) is to have another dr. appt this week and was just checking on that. Mirna emailed me back to let me know a few things and said that Norma was very sad that we were not going to be able to bring the baby home with us. Which was my exact fear! Mirna reassured her that God has a plan and that this little girl will have a good home. She also said that Norma has started to attend church in her village! What a blessing, we pray that God would open her heart to him!!
We are so thankful to continue to find God is still working hard for this baby girl. I am so excited that my friend Teresa and I are planning a trip to Guatemala the 1st of July for a few days. I can’t wait to get there and see everyone that we have been communicating with in Guatemala and then to meet this PRECIOUS baby girl!!! Oh how I can’t wait to see how God will deliver this baby into a Godly family!!!
In this whole journey Dave and I have not know/understood WHY God put this situation before us but we felt he had a plan and we are called to do what he asks of us. Last night as I talked with Teresa we talked about how we have prayed and prayed some more over doing the right thing. Still we don’t fully know how God is using all of us who are involved but we are doing the best we can to bring honor and glory to him, and to SAVE this baby girl. Teresa also found this verse that we feel fits the situation. For EVERYONE who has opened there hearts to pray, talk, give or listen this fits all of us.

Easter

We had a great Easter, although I didn't get the kids pictures in there outfits together b/c Gracie was not feeling well Sunday morning, so she stayed home with Daddy. We might just have a dress up day this week sometime to try and get those. We headed over to Pawpaw and Mimi's house for yummy meal and a big egg hunt. Next year ought to be a little more challenging with all six of them racing around!

We had a nice and relaxing trip to Pigeon Forge, TN although the weather was not the best (snowed the first day and rained two days) and that the mountains aren't the prettiest just yet. But family time we did have and it was WONDERFUL! We didn't do a whole lot so that even made it more relaxing. We did take Bo and Gracie to the Ripley's Aquarium in Gatlinburg and that was very fun and a great time. Those pictures may come soon having trouble downloading off my other camera for some reason.

Our Journey with Guatemala....

On Friday, March 19^th I got a call from my friend Teresa at 9:30am. She was down in Guatemala on Spring Break taking Spanish classes (she’s a Spanish teacher locally). She was staying with her cousin who is a missionary in Guatemala City. Her cousin had just told her of a story of a Guatemalan mother who was on the verge of ending a pregnancy and Teresa’s cousin asked if she knew anyone who would be interested in adoption. Just two weeks previous I had told her how Dave and I were starting to consider adoption and that our desire would be to adopt from Guatemala. Some of you may know that Guatemala is closed to adoption with the US (due to lots of legal stuff). Anyway, she thought of me right away and called. I was shock and overjoyed! Immediately I called Dave and told him the story, his quick comment back was “we will do whatever we can!” I quick emailed Teresa back and said we were on board send me all the info you can and we will talk and pray about it tonight!

All day Friday I was so emotional and could not believe that God had just put this opportunity into our lap, now what are we to do. We received the info first thing Saturday morning, T cousin’s, pastors wife(M) was willing to do whatever she could to help the mother to and from the doctor. M had all the information and speaks very good English so I was told to call her and right away, I did. We had a great conversation, she had a lawyer lined up for us who was a good Christian and honest man and was also willing to do whatever it was going to take to save this baby. The mother of the baby had verbally committed to not ending the pregnancy as long as they found a family who could give the child a better life. The mother is very, very poor and already has two children and could not financially or emotionally care for another child. She had already tried several abortions with this child.

First thing we needed to do was to get the mother a doctor appt. She was thinking she was about 8 month along and had not had any prenatal care. It took about a week to get the appt and everyone’s schedules together but it happened. All the while we were on vacation in TN and didn’t have internet access, so via my sister we did a little communication to Guatemala. On Saturday (27^th), M took the mother to the doctor there were a few concerns with the baby size very small due to lack of proper diet and having tried previous abortions, so we got her some meds and the doctor said that the baby should be fine as long as she takes the vitamins and eats a better diet. The baby will be very small, she will also have to be born via c-section due to the mother previous surgeries. So they set a date May 14, 2010 this little baby girl will be born.

When we arrived back home the following Monday (29^th) I got busy emailing and calling different people to find out what we needed to do here in the States in order to bring the baby home. Once I started looking and researching, things just didn’t look so promising for us to be able to bring this baby home. We want to do God’s will for this baby and whatever we could to help bring this baby into the world. So our hearts started to get in deep and we knew that we might never be able to bring the baby home, but again we prayed, told everyone about it b/c the more people that could pray for us the better it just might be.

Yesterday we got really good news and really bad news. First, I got a email from M that Guatemala had just passed or stated that any American families who want to adopt from Guatemala can not be charged any money for the process. Which we were first looking just 1 ½ weeks ago for the process to cost $10,000-$20,000. This meant the processing down there would be FREE!!!! WOW! What another God thing that is. Later, Tuesday afternoon we went to meet with Catholic Charities Agency here in Blm. They were researching and checking with the State of IL and the US Federal government to see if we could proceed with adoption. Going into the meeting I knew we were going to hear the words NO that we could not proceed, but I was fully trusting that God is in control and he can and does perform miracles. Well we got the NO and it was sooo hard to hear! I so did not want to hear that and it was heart breaking, my heart has been growing so much love for this little baby girl and God had already put to many things into place for this. But in some sense I did feel peace! Well today Wednesday was hard to think about where we are to go from here. I had to email M and tell her that we were not going to be able to proceed with the adoption. We were going to need to find another option. My biggest concern is that the mother would now know that we could not adopt the baby and with only 5 weeks left in the pregnancy she would end the pregnancy for good!

Today, Wednesday April 7 my friend Teresa called me just 24 hours after we got the NO news. Her cousin had just emailed her to tell her that a family in there church a Guatemalan couple just came to them asking for prayer, because they had just found out that after 6 years of trying for a family that there were no other medical options for them. So we pray now that this couple would get to adopt this precious baby girl. I feel this is what God’s plan is for this little girl. Only he knows and I am so glad that we have been and will be apart of this little girls birth. I still plan to go to Guatemala around the time of the birth to meet everyone that we have been praying with and communicating with in this process. We have trusted that God would provide for us or whoever may get this precious little girl. We are so excited for this little ones future that she may have a better life and grow up knowing and loving the Lord. We don’t know the end just yet but we do know that God is FAITHFUL TO THE END!!!

Getting Ready for Planting Season!

Last week I took the kids over to the shop to hang out with Daddy and run around. We are enjoying the new sunshine that Spring seems to be bringing us. Bo loved to see all the tractors, semi's, and sprayer, Daddy has them looking all shinny are ready to go!. It's been a long winter and we are ready for planting season to get under way, hopefully sooner rather than later this year!

10 months old

Gracie is now 10 months old! She is such a joy in our lives. She is so sweet, content, and quiet! She loves to talk to you and babble, dada! She is now crawling and loves to follow Bo all around the house. She has just started to pull up onto things, she gets to her knees and bounces. She will stand holding on if you help her up. Gracie has two bottom teeth and on both sides of those the others are pushing there way through. She loves to eat table food and is still on baby food. It won't be long and we will be ready to celebrate her 1st Birthday!!

Hermie and Buzby

Well it has been two months that these cats have been hanging out by our door. I am NOT a cat person what-so-ever so we will see how long they last. But we finally named them thanks to Aunt Jo-Jo and Kennedy!

Bo has become very interested in them, they are here daily and are just our stray barn cats. Bo wants to know where they are when they aren't by the door and we just tell him they went for a walk. He loves to talk to them and play with them through the door. Today we went outside to play in the snow for a little while and they came up to us. I am not so sure about this, I like them when they run away from you! For a change Bo didn't seemed to bothered by them, (usually gets tense and screams when animals come up to him).

Gracie scooted over by the door the other night and started jambering to them and was so happy to watch them play with her through the window. I am thinking more of a dog this summer?? We will see what Daddy says?? The one thing that I do like about them is that we haven't had ANY mice this year at all in the house!!!!!!

Bo 2 1/2 years old

Can't believe my little man is 2 1/2 already. He is learning so much everyday and can be so fun to play with (when we aren't tired or sick)! Bo also had his well check today. I was a little concerned b/c he has been complaining that his hair hurts (headaches). Talked with the Dr today and he couldn't see or hear anything that would be causing this so he just suggested to write down every time he complains about it and then how long it seems to last. So we will see, hope this is nothing.

Some of Bo's favorites at this age:

Curious George (the show and his stuff CG monkey), Super Why?, Veggie Tales. He is still very much into his tractors and "going to work." He really loves to sit and do puzzles, Play-Doh, and reading books. He is really into playing with is animal toys and he loves when daddy comes home and they play chase! Also playing hide-n-seek he always love to go find you! He favorite saying right now is "oh my goodness!"

Gracie is 9 months old on Thursday. She is growing so fast I almost don't know where the 6-9 month time went. As you can see from the pictures she is a very happy and content little girl. All of these expressions show her personality! We went for her well check today and she only had to have a finger prick and some blood samples. She is right on or a little ahead so we are thankful for that.

Some of Gracie's favorites right now are:

Food wise: anything but peas, she is eating a little table food, cheese, crackers, chicken, noddles or whatever she can pick up with those tiny little fingers!

Gracie is rolling ALL over the place, has got up on all four but has not crawled yet (which is fine with mama) OH and she is saying that Mama, that was her first word and I was so thrilled to hear it. She is chewing on everything and has two bottom teeth and we can see the top right one just below the gums!

She loves talking with Bo and he sure can get her going! They really to play so well together hope this continues.

She weighed in at 18 lbs 13 oz (50%),

Height was 27 1/4 in (40%) last time I think they were WAY off cause it (90%)

Gracie has been working on her first tooth for about 3 weeks. It first appeared the day she turned 8 months (Dec 28th) and we can finally see it when she smiles! She is now working on her 2nd tooth and we can feel it just below the surface! She has had a cold and lots of drool with these teeth. Bo always got a severe sore throat and high fevers while getting his teeth, but he also got 2-4 at one time. Her's look like they might come 1 at a time and not be as severe on her body (fevers, sore throats.....) So happy teething to us!

Last Friday night we took Bo to Chuck E Cheese's for the 1st time celebrate potty training! He has caught on so quick and even is staying dry through naps and most nights (90%). We have only been doing it for about a month! Bo has done so well with it that we thought we should reward him. We didn't know what he would think of the place, but after eating pizza and warming up a little he was ready to play. He enjoyed it as well as we did! Uncle Hans was in town and able to join us.

About a week ago Bo brought out two of Gracie's dolly's from her room and gave then to her. She loved on then right away. I think she might just take after her Mommy on loving dolls, I think I played with mine up into jr. high. lol. Bo likes to play with them a little, we might just have to find a little boy doll, that may go over a little better with Daddy! Although tractors are still by far his favorite thing to play with!

So I am really slow with learning new technology (just ask Jodi :) . Well since I have had Photoshop Elements for about 1 year or so and I am just now learning how to put a collage of pictures together. I have used it alot with editing my photos but nothing more fancy. Anyway, did this one this afternoon and had fun, lots to learn yet. But hoping to be able to put our Christmas card together this way with a lot more detail to it. Had to start somewhere. Kind of fun hope it doesn't take me as long the next time!

Bo is 26 months old right now and full of energy and seems to rarely wear out! He sure keeps us on our toes! He is so fun, most of the time :)! At this time he is still very into tractors of all sorts he loves going through the magazines and naming all the equipment and brand name! It is fun to watch him sit in the family room all by himself and hear him naming what he is looking at. He still loves being outside as much as possible. Bo is also into his Curious George stuffed animal and caring him around. This seems like it might be the new attachment. We are STILL working to getting ride of the paci! I think I just need to do it cold turkey, I give into to much.

Gracie is 5 months old and a VERY HAPPY little girl! She is rolling over from back to front hasn't done to much of front to back but I am sure that is not far behind. She is such a joy and blessing. She is getting more chatty and smiley all the time. We have started cereals and she gets them once a day, she does really well with them and seems to like cereal much more than Bo ever did. She has also spent time in her bumbo and in the exasaucer which she seems to enjoy for spurts of 20-30 minutes at a time!

God has been so good to us and we feel so blessed to have our two little one's in our lives!

On Sunday night I was able to pull off a SUPRISE 30th Birthday party for Dave! He had NO idea so it was great!! He had a lot of fun and I was so thankful to everyone who helped me pull it off. Out of about 60 people nobody slipped!! Thank you everyone. He was even more suprised that all 3 of his brother from TX, OH, VA and Grandma Yoder from FL were here to celebrate with us!

The Before

In the Summer of 2008 we began to redo the outside of the house. It first started with tearing out the front OVER grown bushes, then the side bushes, back bushes and ended up tearing out the landscape all around the house!! Last summer my Mom and I painted all but the North side of the house, got close to fall and I was pregnant. We painted the cider siding, windows and shutters. I also redid the back landscape. This summer we got a new roof, and Mom and I did the front landscape. Dave said he would complete the painting (he HATES painting) this was his gift of love to me!!! So he has a very small portions of the back garage left but we are very close and ready to move on to the next "to-do list" projects maybe next spring we will start something new!! haha! Isn't there always something to do!

Where did summer go???? We have been very busy the past month with just a lot of random things. These are just a few pics of some first's for both kids. Bo had his first smore! He wasn't so sure about it, and didn't like the sticky marshmellow on his face! I think he only ate about half of it. Hope he starts to like them, they sure are good this time of year!! For Gracie, this was the first time I put her in her Bumboo and she loved it, sat there for about 20 minutes playing with her little gym set! Her neck is very strong and she is always trying to sit up to see everything! Although she doesn't like to be on her tummy! This is a good solution to that problem.

Weekend full of John Deere

This past weekend we headed off to Moline, IL to visit my Uncle and Aunt, and also to check out the John Deere area! Dave and I had toured the John Deere combine plant a few years ago with friends but this time we went to check out the museum, JD headquarters and the JD store! We had a nice weekend away from home. We weren't sure how this would all play out with 2 little one and one hotel room. The first night took a little while to calm down and get to sleep with all of us in one room (about 1/2 hour, not to bad!) By the next night we were all wiped and it only took about 10 min for us all to be out! We had a great time with my uncle and aunt and seeing there new home! We really enjoyed the Quad Cities area, it is rolly and a really nice area to visit and live! Thanks Uncle Les and Rhonda for being our tour guides! Here are a few pics from our trip!

Last night we celebrated Bo's 2nd birthday with Mickey and family! His birthday is tomorrow so we will spend the day celebrating our little guy! Bo is so fun to be around. He has such a friendly personality and is not to shy! He is becoming such a little guy. Some of his favorites right now are tractors (of course), Cars the movie, Shrek, swimming and playing in the water, mud puddles, running in the rain, pancakes, apple juice, mow-mow (mower), helping daddy around the house, getting up way to early! Some things he doesn't like, waking up from naps, dogs, cats, any animal really (I wonder where he gets that from??), getting his hair cut.

Gracie is 3 months old! WOW, were does time go. She has been such a blessing in our life. She is such a wonderful baby, she is so content (sometimes I forget she around!) On Sunday Gracie will be 2 months old. Time sure flies!! Today we had her appointment, I sure love to go and see how much they have grown at these appts, but I HATE the shots!! And, so did Gracie, her little legs seem so sore this afternoon. Every time I pick her up she just gives out a big cry :( Hopefully it won't last to long! Other than that she had a great check up and is right on target with her development. She weighed in at 10 lbs 5 oz (which is the exact same as Bo's 2 month check), she is 22 1/2 inches tall both are the 50% for her age. She is such a little sweet heart and is a great baby!! God has truly blessed our lives with giving us our little angel!!

Gracie will be 4 weeks old tomorrow! The time is already flying by. She is still sleeping much of the day and pretty good at night. I am only having to feed her 2x through the night. She is having a little trouble going back to sleep after the first time when she wakes up (about 2:00). She is content during the day when she is awake. She likes laying on the play mat and looking around, she is very alert! Bo continues to love on her, he is just getting more interested in wanting to help with her. So we have to keep a close eye on him. He wants to pick her up and hold her all the time. We all are hanging in there and life doesn't feel to crazy right now, the adjustment isn't as bad as I thought it would be!!

Over the past few weekends Dave has been doing ALOT of yard work! Bo loves to be right there with him every step of the way! Last weekend Dave was out trimming the bushes by the barn and he turned around to see Bo pick up the biggest branch he could and started dragging it to the burn pile, so Dave quickly gathered a few branches himself and headed after him. He is growing up so fast and becoming quit the little man. He loves to help and be outside! These pics were last night when Dave went out to scout some fields, to check and see if they were dry enough to start planting, Bo just had to ride along!

Last week we went up to the Big Truck Night at the Lexington Elementary School. We thought that Bo would enjoy this time alone with Mom and Dad since his little world had just been flipped upside down with bringing home Gracie! Bo seemed to enjoy looking at all the big trucks (fire trucks, road grader, tractor, ambulance,school bus, semi, tow-truck, homeland security trailer and a humv) Of course his favorite was Mark's tractor that he gets to see quit often. He wasn't so sure about all the sirens, and horns honking. We will look forward to this event in the coming years as he gets bigger and can climb around more in them. The Cushman Bike

1st week of Gracie!

We have made it through our first week with 2 little ones. The week went pretty smoothly. Bo is being such a good and loving big brother! I don't know how many kisses she gets from him but she is one very lucky little girl! We are getting down to the very end of this pregnancy! Yeah!! I went to see Dr. D on Thursday and I hadn't progressed any so I was able to talk her into inducing me on Tuesday April 28th!!!! So, Tuesday morning we will head to the hospital we have to be there by 7am. She didn't think it would take to terribly long, lets hope not. She could feel her head already so she is low and ready to pop out! I am hoping that she doesn't decide to come before then because it has been so nice to have everything planned out, where Bo is going to be, who is going to in the room with us ( Dave,my mom and sis) and that hopefully we won't be running out of the house and forget all the important stuff. And the fact that Dr. D is out of town this weekend! We are so very ready for Gracie to be here! I am trying this weekend to do some last minute cleaning and spending some precious time with Bo, as we are about to flip his world upside down, for the better I hope!

We serve a great God!! We are so blessed in so many ways! We had a wonderful day of celebrating Easter this year. We enjoyed a great service at church to remind all of us why we serve the God we do!! Then off to Pa-Pa and Mimi's for lunch and time with the family. There are five little ones all under the age of 2 with our little Gracie's soon arrival there will be 6 little ones, the coming years are bond to get interesting. We had so much fun playing together and hunting the eggs.

So those of you who are wondering, how close we are to the arrival of little Gracie! I had my 36 week appt today and got "checked" for the first time. I am at 2cm and 75% . Dr D thought in about 2 weeks she would be good and ready. I remember with Bo this is around where I was at this point. He did come 1 1/2 weeks early. She has also dropped which is another good sign for her soon to be arrival. We will keep you posted and we are getting very excited to see just what little Gracie looks like!

Dave made it home Sunday afternoon, after a 36 hour plane tour he arrived safely home to us! We were so happy to see him! Bo had lots of new words to tell him! Dave's trip was a good one. He really enjoyed the trip and the men that he was with. They mostly worked and worked some more so there wasn't a whole lot of site seeing while they were in Africa, besides the 2 1/2 day car ride with 6 men stacked in a Land Crusier. Thank you to all of you who prayed for him on this trip he saw a lot of God's creation and people who have a big heart for serving the Lord in these remote places of the world. I had one of the best experiences in my life last Thursday! I got to experience the birth of my nephew Tate Kimball enter the world!! WOW, God is amazing!! Thank you Jodi and Adam for letting me be apart of such a special day for you guys! Tate was born March 12, @ 9:44 am he weighed 8 lbs 3oz and was 20 inches long! It has been 13 days since Dave left on his trip. We hear from him through email about every other day. They have been working long and hard hours. Eating little, (oatmeal, bread, beef jerky and a few other little snacks). They are now out of North Africa (so now we can talk about where they were). They are currently in Nairobi and are in a much safer place for the remainder of the trip. We are looking forward to his return and his stories. He is due to arrive in Chicago, Sunday about noonish. He has seemed very upbeat in his emails and things have been going well for them. All of their traveling into the country was some what safe and not to dramatic so we praise God for that. Please continue to pray for him and the other guys until they are completely safe at HOME!!
As for Bo and I we are making it. It has been a little harder than I thought it would be. But I can't complain we have been trying to keep busy to keep our mind off of daddy being away. We have had a few things come up that would have been really nice if Dave would have been home. I have only told him a few of the most important things so he doesn't worry to much until he is home. Thank you to all our friends and family for helping entertain us while Dave is away. Our big thing is still to come on Thursday, the birth of our new nephew/cousin Tate!! We can't wait. I plan to be in the room for his birth and I am so excited to get to experience this miracle with my sister and Adam!!

Mission Trip

On Friday, Dave is heading out on a new adventure! He is going on a mission trip to Africa. I can't quit say where he is going, due to safety issues (posting on web), but I would ask that you keep him in your prayers. He is going to be away for 17 days!!! Please pray for strength, it will take 3 days to get there by plane (talk about a little jet lage). He is going to be doing some electrical work, painting and plumbing. Dave is going on the trip with 2 other guys who will work along side with Dave, one will be working on the computer equipment and internet access. He will end the trip with a few days in Tanzania, Africa at the Nassau Theological College doing some odd jobs around there. But most of the trip will be in another part of Africa. I am so excited for Dave and the opportunity for him to serve God in this way! I just told him I might be a little jealous since I have always wanted to go to Africa.

As for Bo and I we will man the fort here at home, although I do plan on staying the weekends with my parents in town! We are also looking forward to the delivery of my new nephew while Daddy is away. He will be here any day! We are also looking forward to the basket of goodies that my mother-in-law put together for Bo and I while Dave is away. This was just a sweet and thoughtful idea! We love you Grandma and Grandpa Stutzman so much!

Our baskets are full of little goodies for Bo and I to open one each day while Dave is gone!!

Big Boy Room!

We have made the full transition into Bo's new room! He loves climbing up onto his new bed and playing in his room. It took 3 nights to get him to sleep through the night in his new bed, which we considered pretty good! He is now sleeping in there during naps and during the night. Which means I have been able to clear out the boy stuff in the nursery and have started to make it alittle more girly. We aren't changing to many things just a few pink things here and there to fit for Gracie.

As far as for Bo's room we bought him new bunk beds, but have decided for now to only have the bottom bunk put together. We thought the whole transition might go a little smoother if we didn't have to worry about the top bunk above him. He has also become quit the climber lately and I didn't want to find him up on the top quit yet! Plus we can crawl in and out a little better without it on there :) I am waiting for a few more little details to put together in there but other than that our little guy is no longer in a crib!

Cereal Time!

I have been hesitant to start letting Bo eat cereal out of a bowl w/ milk for a while (just didn't want to deal with the mess). But I finally gave in and let him do it all by himself last week. He did a great job the first day, but we tried again today and it was a big puddle to splash in! I guess he did have fun eating breakfast though:)
